Download the print helper
Free. About 3 MB. Needed once per computer that prints labels.
The helper is a small app that lets the TagPop Chrome add-on send labels straight to your label printer, with no print pop-ups. It has no window and nothing leaves your computer — Chrome starts it only when TagPop prints.
Install on a Mac
- Open the downloaded TagPop-Helper-Mac.zip (double-click it in Downloads) to get the TagPop Helper (Mac) folder.
- Double-click Install TagPop Helper.command. If macOS says it can't be opened, right-click it → Open → Open. A Terminal window says Done! — you can close it.
- In Chrome, open the TagPop panel → Printer → press "I've installed it — check again".
Install on Windows
- Right-click the downloaded TagPop-Helper-Windows.zip → Extract All → Extract.
- In the extracted folder, double-click Install TagPop Helper.bat. If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. A black window says Done! — press any key to close it.
- In Chrome, open the TagPop panel → Printer → press "I've installed it — check again".
No admin password is needed — the helper installs for your user account only. To update it later, download it again and run the installer; it replaces the old one.
Why the warning?
Mac and Windows warn about any app that wasn't downloaded from their own app stores. The helper only talks to the TagPop add-on in Chrome and your printer. Questions? Email support@tagpop.co.uk.
